At Project GRAD, we want our students to have every possible advantage to getting into and graduating from college. We aim to give students experiences of college early, aid them in the college application and financial aid process, and prepare them for the rigor of college. The heart of the model involves one-on-one advising and coaching, complemented by after-school "College Success Skills" classes taken throughout the academic year.
The program also includes successive Summer College Institutes held at local college campuses where students can earn college credit; a Residency College Institute for "rising" seniors; college tours; academic tutoring; PSAT and SAT prep; individual assistance with completing college applications and personal statements; financial aid workshops and assistance completing the FAFSA; and a Bridge to College program for college-bound seniors.
At the college level, students continue to meet in person or virtually with their Advisor at least twice per month.
